Summer is gone; its shower season. I knew it would rain; clouds were getting darker and darker, it was around 4PM. Thought of pruning some unwanted weeds around the roof top potted-plants, thinking this would give the potted plants some sense of security. I was nearly done with pruning when the rain gushed all of a sudden; I had to run for shelter to my room. I closed the doors but opened the windows to enjoy the rain drops which were gushing and hitting the ground like missiles (not like the one dropped on Iraq – Oh God – Don’t even remember that). These are the missiles which make you inside out happy, these divine missiles literally call you to come out and get hit by them, it really mesmerizes you by its coolness. These pours can outpour your stress in minutes. Rain is the Grace of God descending on earth.
It was raining cats and dogs. I was enjoying the unique and intoxicating mud smell and the coolness it had produced; I thought of capturing the flowing water on the roof. I immediately took out my Canon 400D, did all my initial adjustments and captured the above picture of water collected over the roof (Yes! it looks like an ocean, many said that).
Truths are first clouds; then rain, then harvest and food
– Henry Ward Beecher
I was watching the captured image on my computer and thought of writing some known and hidden properties of WATER…
Water has got a unique healing power in it when used in the right sense. Water has got the knowledge of retaliating or conversing power, but you should be having a higher sensitive power to decode it. Since time immemorial, saints and even normal people have regarded it as God himself. It was also used by many saints to store their yogic powers. Water reacts; saints in the past could read their plight when there was a message sent from them. Even oceans gave way to walk through; we have read it in many ancient stories, Bhagavata and in Bible; such is their reciprocating capacity. With TIME humans lost all the special faculties they had – all lost in the name of development and modernization.
Water will be the OIL, of 21st Century, If not utilized with sense.
Waters Dance! They help!! They can get angry!!! They make faces too – in their own ways; don’t you believe me. Well, there are Scientist around the planet who are researching on the Water, their findings are mind boggling. One Such great scientist and researcher is Masaru Emoto; he has experimented and photographed the different moods Water can express. How the water structure expresses the consciousness of the surrounding environment. The more you read about his findings the more you will be thrilled to read more. Don’t just read, experiment his findings, it works wonders!! You will be skyrocketed to new dimensions.
Seeing the crisis of water for future years, there are other scientists who successfully experimented and collected water from air and named it WATAIRE. Special devices are hung over roof which collects water from air and filtered, which is as good as Spring water. These devices haven’t reached humans at large, because of its expensiveness, but scientists are working hard to make these devices available at a cheaper price. Some day in future every one will be relying on it, because the crisis of water will hit hard like the “Little Boy” which destroyed literally everything in a fraction of a second.
When the well is dry, we learn the worth of water
– Benjamin Franklin
Basic Knowledge about WATER: In typical usage, water refers only to its liquid form or state, but the substance also has a solid state, ice, and a gaseous state, water vapor. About 71% of Earth is covered by water. Water moves continually through a cycle of evaporation or transpiration, precipitation, and runoff, usually reaching the sea. Winds carry water vapor over land at the same rate as runoff into the sea every year. Clean, fresh drinking water is essential not only to humans, birds and animals but also to other forms of life. However, in many parts of the world – especially developing countries – there is a water crisis, and it is estimated that by 2025 more than half of the world population will be facing water-based vulnerabilities. Water plays an important role in the world economy in the years to come. Approximately 70% of freshwater is consumed by agriculture. Water is one of the most vital natural resources for all life on earth.
Every peasant is proud of the pond in his village because from it he measures the sea.
– Russian proverb
If you are interested in getting involved in saving Freshwater but do not know how to start? Here are some ideas to get started!
- Educate yourself and others on how efficiently to use water without much of wastage.
- Planning and Management makes a difference everyday! Every drop saved today helps tomorrow.
- Educate Children’s on the importance of water.
- In your every day life (do not waste water unnecessarily in Kitchen, bathrooms, during shave and in your office).
- In the Garden (Group your plants into high or low water users so that you can design a watering pattern. Always water your plants during the early morning hours or in the evening, when temperatures are cooler, to minimize evaporation. Capture rainwater to water your plants as much.)
We forget that the water cycle and the Human life cycle are one
